Closed Circuit Water Cooling Towers
Industrial plants need a heat transfer device to remove the heat produced
in the process or by the machines. This heat transfer device is called as
pipe exchanger in closed circuit towers.
Two separate cycles are carried out to perform the heat transfer in closed circuit towers.
1. The water cycle which aims to cool the water coming from the process to the
pipe exchanger.
2. The water cycle which comes from the basin at bottom of the tower and sprayed on
the pipe exchanger in order to maximise the heat transfer by forming a film
layer of water on the exhanger surface and then fall back down to the basin again
