The plate heat exchanger is a highly efficient heat exchanger composed of a series of metal plates with a certain corrugated shape stacked together. Between each plate, thin rectangular channels are formed, through which heat exchange occurs. The plate heat exchanger is an ideal device for liquid-liquid and liquid-vapor heat exchange. It features high heat exchange efficiency, low heat loss, compact and lightweight structure, small floor space, wide application, and long service life. Under the same pressure loss, its heat transfer coefficient is 3 to 5 times higher than that of the tube heat exchanger, and its floor space is one-third of that of the tube heat exchanger. The heat recovery rate can be as high as over 90%.
